In a sleepy country town, Mikihiko and his three childhood friends are enjoying a happy middle-school life. But after failing his high school entrance exam, Mikihiko shuts himself away at home — and the four friends drift apart and lose touch. Some time later, Keiko, who has always had a soft spot for Mikihiko, decides to do whatever it takes to help him get back on his feet... and rebuild their lost friendship. Disappointment, friendship, love... every one of these feelings is portrayed with refreshing honesty in this coming-of-age story.
