Carciphona Vol. 1

For centuries, magic was part of everyday life in the world of Maelstrom. A benevolent magic that granted society extraordinary power — but a cursed one too, for it gave birth to the Carciphona: humans whose souls are infected by demonic spirits. After a terrible event, the Prohibition was enacted and the use of magic was banned in every kingdom. Yet four years later, a witch named Veloce Visrin still lives on in the shadows, suppressing her powers so she can live in peace. But that quiet life is short-lived when the assassin behind the Prohibition comes after her... and she may well be a Carciphona herself!
